HOW DOES SBET WORK?

If your company has 50 or fewer employees and has been in business for 3 or more years, you may be eligible for a 100% reimbursement for training through the Louisiana Small Business Employee Training Program.

WHAT IS SBET AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Small Business Employee Training Program (SBET) is designed to benefit business and industry by assisting in the skill development of existing employees through individual, standardized (off-the-shelf) training. Employers are reimbursed for tuition, required textbooks, and manuals once the training has been completed and proper documentation has been submitted to the Louisiana Department of Labor (LDOL).

THE PROCESS

First, do you qualify? You must have the following:
– 50 or less employees
– In business for 3 or more years
– Paying unemployment on your employees
You must be requesting training in a “demand” occupation
(CAD drafting is a demand occupation)

Second, contact us for available training dates and choose a course or courses for training.

Third, fill out the State’s SBET training application. The application is a simple online questionnaire. No red tape. If you prefer, CADtech Seminars can handle all of the State paperwork for you.

Fourth, Once approved, the selected training will take place.

Fifth, Once the training has been completed, the company being trained would pay CADtech Seminars. Documentation for proof of training would be forwarded to the State of LA and the company that was trained would be reimbursed for the training by the State.

IMPORTANT NOTE – In order to be reimbursed for the training, the application must be submitted and approved by the state prior to the training taking place. The state requests that the application be submitted 30 days prior to the first scheduled day of training.
